The holy light, considered a miracle of Orthodoxy, which happens every year of Easter in Jerusalem, arrived around 6:40 pm in Romania, with a plane that landed at “Henri Coandă” International Airport.
The holy light in Jerusalem was brought to Romania by the Archimandrite Theophilus Anăstăsoaie, the representative of the Romanian Patriarchate to the Holy Places. The holy fire is to be received at the Patriarchal Cathedral around 19:00, by Patriarch Daniel.
At the airport, the light will be offered to all the delegates of the eparchies of the Romanian Patriarchate.
Trinitas TV broadcasts live on Facebook the ceremony of receiving the Holy Light in Romania:
The Holy Light was received at the tomb of the Resurrection of the Lord in Jerusalem on Saturday, April 19, around 2:35 pm.
The Holy Light does not descend every year at the same time, but it always descends to the Vespers – and only when the Orthodox Christians pray at the Holy Sepulcher, notes the Basilica.
Holy Light is considered a miracle of Orthodoxy, which happens every year of Easter in Jerusalem, during the Great Vespers on Saturday, between 12:30 and 14:30, when above the Holy Sepulcher there is a fire that descends from the sky, manifesting differently every year and which, in the first minutes.
The light is brought to the believers by the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
