Elena Lasconi, the USR leader to whom the party withdrew the support for Cotroceni, believes that “it should fall many heads in the USR”, and the party must reform because otherwise “it will become irrelevant” on the political scene.
Elena Lasconi was asked on Saturday at Prima TV, if she will resign from USR if she does not enter the second round of presidential elections.
“I will not be the president categorically … I will not be in the party, that I will be in Cotroceni,” said Elena Lasconi, quoted by News.ro.
She was also asked about the negative scenarios that are taken into account if she loses the presidential elections.
“Let me not do them. Please. Because I am so built,” said Elena Lasconi.
Also, asked if he is considering making another party if they were revoked from the position of USR president, Lasconi replied:
“I do not want to make another party because I want to do I do not know what moves. No, I think we should get rid of them. I mean, they should fall into the USR and reform. Otherwise, it will become irrelevant,” Lasconi said.
She also said who Judas considers in the story of the USR scandal.
“Well, precisely because we are in the Great Week, it is a week in which forgiveness and wisdom should be the things that are in our soul. I do not put labels. I do not label to people. It is their sin anyway,” said Elena Lasconi.
The USR withdrew the support of Elena Lasconi and supports the mayor of the Capital in the presidential race, but on the ballot Elena Lasconi is the one who will be the USR candidate as they have already been printed, and the deadline for withdrawing the candidates was 19 March.
However, USR cannot campaign for Nicușor Dan. The Bucharest Court of Appeal rejected on Thursday the request of the USR to annul the decision of the Central Electoral Bureau, which established that the party cannot campaign for Nicuşor Dan
