The Sports Gazeta launched last summer The series “Pure passion”project that revealed the stories of over 20 talented young people, from various disciplines, including the least publicized ones, who try to make their way to high performance sport. Protaogonist in one of the episodes, the 15-year-old Vlad Poroineanu kid just made the step at Rapid, one of the junior clubs.

At that time, the young man born in 2009 had just left the hometown, Lupeni, to raise the offer from ACS FC Dinamo, the club owned by Nicolae Badea. A drastic environmental change, which put it in a position to give up the comfort offered by the family in favor of a new challenge, far from parents and friends.
“If we chose this road, we can not return!”, Confessed Vlad Poroineanu in the interview given on the lawn in Stefan cel Mare. Near him, careful and excited, was his mother, a nurse in Lupeni, now forced to commute to Bucharest to see his boy from time to time.
Vlad Poroineanu caught the transfer to Rapid
A few months later, the kid checked an important step in the career at the beginning of the road. Courted by Rapid, the 15 -year left defender made the step towards Giulești, a club with higher conditions at ACS FC Dinamo.
Vlad has already entered the circuit of the new team, and these days is present with a group from the Giulesti Academy at a tour that takes place in Athens.
His mother reveals: “The ones from Rapid called him, and now he is in Greece. They have asked him since December, Now they just resolved the transfer, because they didn't want to leave it. It is at U17, and will soon play at U19. ”
“If we chose this road, we can not return!”
The kid spoke in the confession made to the newspaper about his adaptation to the new life:
“Every day I think … I think I have everyone at home, I have grandparents, I have sisters, cousins, I have friends, everything is better at home. But now, if we chose this road, we can not return. I never gave back!
The first time it seemed easy, but when I got here and I saw that I don't know anyone, I don't have much friends, that I stay in the house and I just train, it seemed a bit difficult. I didn't expect it to be so.
I spend about two and a half hours in football, something like this, maybe more or less. Every day I have training, high school I have from 08:00 to 12:00 or until 13:00. I also have days when I have individual training, two a week, and on the weekend I have matches. I don't have much time to do a lot.
I set out to train further, I can become much better and I can get to be summoned to the national, ”Vlad confessed in the interview given last fall.
He doesn't have much time to go out, because his life is different. His time is always busy, even during the vacation. I pray for him to go out with his colleagues, because otherwise he cannot make friends. I am very happy, it is ambitious, he knows what he wants! For a moment he told me he was tired. I ask him all the time if it was hard. Probably, doing this out of passion, it's something that motivates him. He doesn't feel fatigue! I tell you honestly, I wouldn't resist!
For him to realize his dreams, we take nothing! Regardless of what he wants to do in life, we, as parents, will always be with him.
