A section of the Transylvania Highway will be ready in 2025, but “the ones from the PLAB must bring enough workers” and if the authorities will solve the necessary bureaucracy, the Pro infrastructure that filmed the lots from the drone.

“We visited the sites again and we can say that the end of 2025 is still in books. “On the Zimbor-Poarta Sălaj sector, the entrepreneur is well mobilized and it seems that he wants to get rid of this piece in 2025. However, it is working and must finish the design as quickly as possible to issue the building permit in the Romanian node (Gate of Sălaj),” explains API.

“The only major novelty of the last month is the advance on some areas where the start of the asphalting campaign is announced, after the Easter break. Unfortunately, most such segments are between Nădășelu and Topa Mic. Section which, even if they were ready to be inaugurated in 2025, will be a museum (unusable) in the absence of the viaducts that have not started,” consider the association.

According to her, “the builder but also CNAIR should make all the technical and bureaucratic efforts on the small-fee-feast of Sălaj to open the 27 kilometers at the end of 2025”.

“Especially since we are talking about very large delays, a stain on the coat of arms of the PLA: contracts signed in July, respectively December 2020, with works started in the trumpet in 2021, and now we have come to be given in traffic (partially!) At the end of 2025,” says Pro Infrastructure.

The A3 Nădășelu – Mihăiești – Zimbor Highway – a difficult section that hit the landslides

Walk works in the field since 2021 at the 42.3 km of A3 Nădășelu-Mihăiești-Zimbor, but in two critical points-in Nădășelu and Topa Mică-the hills took it down because the technical solutions designed according to the initial feasibility study did not match the reality in the field.

The Nădășelu – Mihăiești section is a difficult one to achieve through the land that the highway crosses.

The project affected by landslides that have required the modification of the route and the creation of two new viaducts:

  • Viaduct with a length of 1.2 km founded on large diameter drilled pilots (no area surrounded in the left side of the map below)
  • Viaduct with a length of approximately 2 km that exceed downstream the DN1F route and the course of the Little Topa stream (no area surrounded to the right side of the map below)

A3 Nădășelu – Zimbor:

  • Section: Section 3a and section 3B, subsection 3a2: Nadaselu – Mihaiesti and 3b1: Mihaesti Zimbor
  • Length: 30.06 km
  • Entrepreneur: Association of Spedition PLUM – Tehnostrade – Electromontaj
  • Value: 1.5 billion lei (without VAT) – updated price
  • Signed contract: September 22, 2020
  • DuRATion: 12 months Design + 24 months Execution (Extended Contract Term in the meantime)
  • Physical stage (March 2025): 82%
  • Possible date for completion: T4 2025 – T2 2026

A3 ZIMBOR – Gate Sălajului:

  • Section: Subsection 3b2: Zimbor – Gate Salajului
  • Length: 12.24 km
  • Entrepreneur: Its association & on Construct – Spedition Plamb – Tehstrade
  • Value: 836 million lei (excluding VAT) – updated price
  • Signed contract: July 1 2020
  • DuRATion: 12 months Design + 24 months Execution (Extended Contract Term in the meantime)
  • Physical stage (March 2025): 68%
  • Possible date for completion: T4 2025 – T2 2026
