“People whose pension payment deadline falls on the 25th day of the month will receive the money in December before Christmas Eve,” ZUS announced. Thanks to this, retirees will not start the celebration with an empty wallet and will not have to wait until the end of the holidays to collect the benefit.

The message on site X includes delivery dates and encourages you to create an account. At the same time, however, ZUS discouraged potential bank account owners.
According to the information, the transfer will be sent to the post office on December 18, and the transfer to the accounts will be made only on December 22. In other words, retirees who collect their money at the post office can have their money earlier, i.e. as long as the postman arrives before December 22.
Transfers to accounts may concern both the person entitled and authorized to receive the benefit.
To arrange transfers to the account, you need an application for payment of benefits to a bank account, which can be downloaded from the ZUS website. The application form is also available at the information point in the customer service room in each ZUS organizational unit.
Documents can be submitted only after opening a bank account. This can be done not only at ZUS offices, but also by mail or in the form of an electronic document via the PUE website.
According to the latest ZUS data, pensions and annuities from this institution downloaded 8 million 36 thousand people in Poland. The average pension from ZUS was in September PLN 4,139.46 gross and was PLN 322 higher than that paid in December last year.
Monthly payments go to over PLN 33 billion, which is PLN 2.6 billion more than before the indexation in February.
