Over 700 thousand Russian soldiers attack Ukraine. Putin spoke

Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced on Thursday, during a meeting with parliamentarians that there are over 700,000 on the front of the war with Ukraine. Russian soldiers – said the AFP agency.

The agency reminded that from the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, i.e. from February 2022, Russia mobilizes huge numbers of soldiers, while suffering colossal human losses on the front.

The American Think Tank Institute of War Studies (ISW) said that Russia loses 1140 soldiers a day on the battlefield, including 975 are fatalities.

In May, BBC television reported, based on the Russian calculations of the independent Mediazon and Meduza portals and the Russian BBC editorial office, that in 2024 at the war against Ukraine at least 45,287 Russian soldiers were killed, i.e. almost three times more than in the first year of invasion.
