“Becali executes Nicușor. It's a good day”

Gigi Becali and the City Hall of Bucharest are judged for almost 15 years regarding the expropriation of a land near the Promenada Mall, with an area of ​​1,773 square meters, which the municipality entered for the construction of the Pipera Road Passage.

In 2010, the City Hall sought to compensate the landlord with 68,000 euros, an amount with which the FCSB owner did not agree. He acted the City Hall in court and Judges have established in October 2013 that the municipality must pay them the amount of 773,000 eurosthe equivalent of about 436 euros per square meter.

The City Hall refused to pay that amount, which caused Gigi Becali to request in court the forced execution of the municipality.

In 2022, the court won the case to Becali in the process in which he demanded the forced execution, a decision later challenged on several levels of the mayoralty led by Nicușor Dan.

Recently the final decision came in the file, pronounced by Section A VA Civil of the Bucharest Court.

The judges maintained the decision of the forced execution, but exempted the payment municipality of 9,777 lei, “representing a lawyer”. The decision was communicated on May 20, two days after Nicușor Dan was voted for president of Romania.

“I could not earn. I kept telling them to give the money. Now I take them. It is good news, I will pass them. Justice has done its duty, it has not delayed.
