Paraginine, forgetfulness and abandonment, this is currently the Brătianu settlements, the residence of the liberal politician who contributed decisively to the accomplishment of Greater Romania, the Prime Minister of the Union from 1918. They have graphites on the stone lace and are full of garbage.
The architectural ensemble “Ion Ic Brătianu”, on the street of Amzei, is degraded at an accelerated pace and can be collapsed at any time, “total or partial”, it is shown in the technical expertise of the building, made since 2019.
Over the years, numerous promises for the consolidation and restoration of the ensemble designed by Arch. Petre Antonescu have been numerous for the liberal politician Ion Brătianu. And, as numerous, as disappointing.
The construction of the architectural ensemble began in 1908 and was the residence of Ionel Brătianu (minister and prime minister of Romania repeatedly), and his wife, Elisa.
The settlements “Ion Ic Brătianu” have openness from both the church of Amzei and from the Dacia Boulevard and are inspired by the old traditional and ecclesial Romanian architecture, with oriental, Byzantine and Renaissance elements. The ornaments of the settlements remind of the Mogoșoaia Palace, Văcărești and Hurezi Monastery, emblems of the Brancovenesc style.
