Constantin Popovici (36 years old) ranked third in the first stage of the Red Bull Cliff Diving 2025 world series, which was held, on April 11-13, in El Nido, a municipality of the Palawan province.
Constantin Popovici started with this inaugural stage and, after the first two jumps, with a total of 171.5 points, was in the first position. The situation changed after the next two jumps, which were no longer as successful.

However, the 2023 winner of the Red Bull Cliff Diving 2025 World series was located in the 3rd position at the Philippines. The first two places were occupied by British Gary Hunt and Mexican Jonathan Paredes.
“I am happy that I finished on the podium. I would have liked to make better jumps in the final rounds, but there are another 3 stages and the fight for the title is open. I liked it here, in the Philippines, because after a series of competitions in cities, I had the opportunity to jump from the rocks, in an absolutely spectacular decor.
I remembered my beginnings in this sport, the Filipine stage being among the first one I competed in the Red Bull Cliff Diving World series”, Said Constantin Popovici, quoted by News.ro.
Cătălin Preda ended this stage in the 10th position in the general standings.
The female contest was won by Australian Rhiannan Ifflandwhich was followed by American Kaylea Arnett and Ukrainian Nelli Chukanivska.

In the previous season, Constantin Popovici (107 points) ranked second, being exceeded by the British Aidan Heslop (121 points).
