(PLN 3.8 billion), and planetology by 30 percent, to approx. 1.93 billion dollars (PLN 7.2 billion).
The draft budget proposes to continue financing the telescopes of Hubble and James Webb, which are already arranged and operate in space. However, support for the new Nancy Grace Roman telescope was excluded to study galaxies, stars and distant planets, although it has already been assembled and is tested at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. It was to be launched in the autumn of 2026. The cost of the entire period of the telescope was to be $ 4.3 billion. (PLN 16 billion).
The numbers and division of funds in the draft budget may still change. The document was disclosed on April 10 – the day after Trump nominated by Trump, billionaire and investor SpaceX Jared Isaacman, said that the department should be able to implement people's landing programs on the moon and Mars at the same time.
