As the South Korean Yonhap agency said, Han referred to Trump's activities during a meeting with government officials and representatives of large enterprises. Earlier, last week, he conducted a telephone conversation with the US leader.

“We discussed what we will do in connection with the implementation of American mutual tariffs and on what issues of South Korea and the USA will negotiate,” Han said. He added that “President Trump was very pleased and apparently gave orders (his colleagues) to immediately start negotiations” with three countries.

Han also expects that the video conference of representatives of Seoul and Washington on the cooperation of South Korea will soon take place. and the USA, regarding liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Alaska.

The Japan Prime Minister Shigeru Isehiba announced during the Parliament meeting that Tokyo does not intend to “go to one compromise after the other to quickly end negotiations” with the United States. “By negotiating from the US, we must understand what is behind Trump's arguments – both in terms of logic and emotional aspects, hiding behind his views,” he added.

IShiba has negatively referred to the introduction of the so -called retaliation duties on the USA, noting that they could contribute to the increase in inflation in the country.

Last week, President Trump suspended additional duties on goods from countries with which the United States has a commercial deficit. In the case of Japan, they were to be 24 percent, and South Korea – 25 percent At that time, the basic duties of 10 percent will apply.
