12 new yellow ambulances equipped with the best equipment available on the European market have been sent to the Warsaw ambulance. Therefore, white ambulances will disappear from the capital's streets.


New, yellow ambulances went to the Warsaw Ambulance Station on Wednesday – so the white ambulances that traveled on Polish streets for several dozen years are a thing of the past.
The ambulances of the Provincial Ambulance Station and Sanitary Transport “Meditrans” SPZOZ in Warsaw cover almost 3.8 million kilometers annually. It means that they are exploited to the limit and must be replaced often.

The new ambulances are equipped with an electric stretcher and a device for disinfecting air and ambulance surfaces. They were bought from their own funds, cost over PLN 8 million and they will go to the will, Ochota, Ursynów, Bemowo, Białołęka, to Pruszków, Piaseczno, Ujazdów, Mokotów, Targówek and Otwock.
From January 2025, there are 90 medical emergency teams in the operational region, which are located in 41 waiting stations.
“In addition, we are pioneers, because we were the first in Poland to meet the requirements of the ordinance of the Minister of Health from 2023, which imposes on the disposers the obligation to introduce to the system State Medical Emergency Medical Ambulances in yellow until 31.12.2030” – said the spokesman of “Meditrans” Piotr Owczarski.
