Donald Trump is in a “excellent” state of health, said a doctor from the White House on Sunday after the first medical check-up through which the Republican passed after returning to the Presidency of the United States, reports Reuters.
The 78-year-old Trump Republican has repeatedly praised his own vigor after his second presidential term, ironizing his predecessor Joe Biden, 82 years old, which he called a mentally in decrepit for the highest position in the state.
“President Trump presents an excellent cognitive and physical state and is fully able to fulfill his duties of supreme and head of state,” says the letter of the doctor, which was distributed by the White House.
Only a few anomalies are mentioned in the letter, including minor lesions caused by the sunlight in the skin, as well as the scars that remained on the right ear after being targeted by an assassination attempt in July 2024, during an electoral event in the Butler area, Pennsylvania.
The US president told reporters that he is feeling “in a very good form” on Friday, after the medical examination he was subjected to the same day at Walter Reed Military Hospital in Washington suburbs.
Trump was ironized on Biden after medical control
Donald Trump spent about five hours at the hospital before boarding the Air Force One presidential aircraft with Palm Beach, Florida, according to New York Post.
“I wanted it to be a little different than in Biden,” the Republican of the reporters present on board the plane told them. “I did a cognitive test,” he continued.
“I do not want to tell you anything but I answered all the questions correctly,” the president added.
In 2024, against the background of concerns about Joe Biden's condition, the White House insisted that the president at that time did not “need a cognitive test”.
