Nicușor Dan, an independent candidate for the presidential elections, responded from the distance to Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, the leader of the PSD, who criticized on a speech held in support of Crin Antonescu, on Saturday, in Piatra Neamț.

The Social Democrat had stated, among other things, that he does not want a president like Nicușor Dan because “I do not want to be forced to wear a skirt, especially since he has the USR now.”

“Mr. Ciolacu is afraid that he will be forced to wear a skirt if I reach Cotroceni. I can assure the prime minister that he will be free to wear what clothes he wants, but he will not wear them at the Victoria Palace,” was Nicușor Dan, on Saturday, in a Facebook post.

In the speech from Piatra Neamț, the PSD leader criticized the USR decision to withdraw the support of Elena Lasconi and to support Nicușor Dan in the presidential race.

“With all respect, Mrs. Lasconi, you are a Christian and believe in God. You have never believed, your colleagues from the USR, they have no God, look at how they behaved with you, a lady! This is the difference between us, but somewhere we have common points. Normally I do not want to be. And the USR now in the back, “said Marcel Ciolacu, on Saturday, during the electoral event organized to promote Crin Antonescu, the candidate I support PSD, PNL and UDMR in the presidential race.

USR announced this week that he withdraws the support of Elena Lasconi, the party leader, and will support Nicușor Dan. Following a complaint made by gold, the Central Electoral Bureau established on Saturday that the formation cannot campaign for the independent candidate.
