Craiova continues to develop in sports infrastructure. The city, which has a new stadium, of 30,000 seats, and another newly built arena, especially for athletics, can also boast with a multipurpose room of 4,200 seats. In the future, Another multifunctional sports complex will be erected in Banieinstead of the legendary “Youth” stadium, and Craiova's plans to grow in this direction do not stop here.
The new project that was launched earlier this year benefits from a non -reimbursable financing of almost 3.7 million lei, of which about 3 million lei come from European funds, according to freedom.ro.
The gymnasium that will be built in Craiova will be designed with a series of facilities for tennis and padl, will have kinetotherapy and nutrition offices, as well as a fitness room.
According to the quoted source, the building will meet the Nzeb (Nearly Zero Energy Buildings) standards, to be designed to generate more energy than consumes annually. This may be possible by using heat pumps, a photovoltaic panel system and a rainwater collection and reuse.
“For over 20 years, we have tried not to deviate from a single vision of development: if we want future generations to see in sports a personal development route or a career route, we must invest supported and integrated: in a healthy and sustainable business model, in services at the highest level, in affiliation (through the atlas club, in the Modets, in the Sports Club, in the Models).
We are extremely excited to show that now, perhaps more important than ever in the history of the last 30 years, funding from the European Union funds contributes significantly to local economic development, create jobs and support important projects for communities ”, said Cristian Ciocan-Stănescu, general manager of Be Strong Tennis, quoted by JurnalDecraiova.ro.
We want to expand the current infrastructure, adding new performance sports within the club structures, respectively to prepare a team of specialists to be behind the performance athletes: coaches, physical preparators, nutritionists, psychologists, etc., and they can advise players up to the highest level.
As a vision of growth to which all our steps are subsumed, we want to become the second sports brand in the region, after Craiova University and to have investors with strategic vision of the private environment.
