About 1,000 people, published in Israeli media, published on Thursday morning. Most of them are air force veterans, but among the signatories there were also soldiers remaining in the active reserve. The text was signed as an appeal “aviation staff in reserve and retirement”.

The armed forces have reported that reservists have the right to express their opinions on any topic, but one cannot accept a situation in which “use the name of the Israeli Air Force for protests in political matters.”

Israel resumed the war in the Gaza Strip on March 18. The government emphasizes that its purpose is invariably destroyed by Hamas's military potential, to remove this group from power in the Gaza Strip and release hostages.

The Israeli army believes that in captivity of Palestinian terrorist organizations there are 24 kidnapped and 35 consecutive bodies are detained.

A large part of the Israeli society and hostage families accuses Prime Minister of Benjamin Netanyahu that he resumed the war for political benefits, disregarding the fate of the abducted. According to their families, subsequent fights expose hostages and dismiss the perspective of releasing them as part of the exchange.

According to many commentators, achieving all Israeli war goals seems difficult to achieve. The Israeli government accuses Hamas that it does not want to agree to the extension of the truce that would release more hostages. Hamas replies that he is ready to suspend a weapon, but this would have to be associated with a warranty of the end of the war, as the original agreement predicted.

The Prime Minister claims that the end of the war in current conditions would allow Hamas to stay in power in the Gaza Strip, which Israel cannot agree to. Extremely right -wing coalition partners Netanyahu, which depends on the survival of his government, do not agree to the truce.

69 percent Israelis supports the end of the war in exchange for the release of all hostages – according to the survey presented at the end of March by Kanal 12. Since the resumption of fighting in Israel, there are regular anti -government demonstrations, whose participants demand, among others releasing hostages as soon as possible.
