Employees of Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz and Stebneftegaz took part in the environmental action to clean the burials of famous Krasnoyarsk residents and veterans of the Great Patriotic War at the Trinity cemetery in Krasnoyarsk.
The oil workers, together with other Krasnoyarsk residents, gathered garbage and last year's grass from the graves and the adjacent territory, cleaned the paths, and also tidied up monuments.
Recall that the Krasnoyarsk Trinity Necropolis is the oldest cemetery of the city. Many famous citizens of the past, as well as many veterans of the Great Patriotic War, are buried on it. Nearby, on Victory Square, are the graves of military personnel who died in the hospitals of Krasnoyarsk. The historical community of the city regularly conducts subbotniks, putting the graves in order.
The oil workers who entered the subbotnik paid tribute to the heroes of the war, emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of their exploits and preserving the cultural heritage.

“Cleaning in an old necropolis is not just a subbotnik. This is a strengthening of the connection between generations, awareness of the importance of the history of your country, your native land. It is especially exciting to see half-erased stars on abandoned monuments of the 60s, 70s of the 20th century-unfortunately, no one has been coming to some war veterans. When you remove such burials, as if you personally pay tribute to a person who gave you freedom and peace, ”said Maria Bezrukova, spokesman for Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz.
Employees of Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz and Stebneftegaz regularly hold various social and environmental actions, and also support the indigenous northern peoples. Last year, before Victory Day, they helped with the improvement of the People’s Park of Heroes.
