The head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced that the Union would suspend retaliation at the US for 90 days in response to the US suspension by the US announced on Wednesday by Donald Trump.

US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he would raise duties imposed on goods from China to 125 percent. At the same time, he ordered a 90-day break in the use of increased duties for other countries. At this time, customs are to be 10 percent.
The European Union informed about its retaliation duties on Wednesday just before the announcement of a change in the sentence by Donald Trump.
Rates of up to 25 percent were to cover American goods worth EUR 22 billion; Some duties were to be effective from mid -April.
On the list on which they voted are, among others Agricultural products such as poultry, fruit, nuts and soy. They were also found motorcycles and yachts. However, the list did not cover whiskey in connection with the fears of, among others wine countries in Europe with US retaliation against European alcohols.
“We acknowledged President Trump's statement. We want to give negotiations a chance,” emphasized von der Leyen.
The chairwoman of the EC emphasized, however, that if the negotiations from the USA are not satisfying, customs will come into force. She added that work is underway on subsequent duties.
“As I said earlier, all options remain on the table,” declared von der Leyen.
