As the police said, the accident occurred tonight at 110 km of the Achinsk – Uzhur – Troitskoye highway. An 18-year-old driver, while intoxicated, lost control of a VAZ-2107 and caused it to overturn on the roadway.
“As a result of the accident, an 18-year-old passenger died at the scene, a 16-year-old passenger was provided with one-time medical assistance. Everyone was wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. Unlicensed driver vehicle control, sdetained in accordance with Article 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. In the near future, the court will decide on choosing a preventive measure for him. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and an investigative team are working on the spot, all the circumstances of the incident are being clarified,” the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
