Metinvest Akhmetov will invest 1.4 billion UAH in the construction of power plants for plants in Kryvyi Rih
The project is currently in the final stage of funding from Ukrainian banks. This was stated by the SEO of a united GOK in Kryvyi Rih Metinvest Igor Tonev at the 2025 exporter summit from Forbes Ukraine magazine.
The company also plans a large strategic project at the Northern GOK, which is planned to be completed in 2026: it provides about 9 billion UAH of investments, of which UAH 1.5 billion will be spent in 2025. The project will be funded by European credit agencies.
According to Tonev, in 2024 Kryvyi Rih Combins were loaded by 50% of the pre -war level, and released 15 million tons of concentrate and 6 million tons of occasions. Without the end of the war, neither 2025 nor the subsequent year can be easier-because of the restrictions and challenges related to hostilities, as well as due to the increase in tariffs of state monopolies, which have already led to the stopping of Ingulets GOK.
