According to the Russian justice system, 46-year-old Joseph Tater was arrested in August 2024 and accused of assaulting a police officer after the avantion in a Moscow hotel, when he verbally attacked employees. If he is convicted, he faces up to five years in prison, the Russian media informed.

According to the state agency TASS, the Moscow court granted the application of the doctors of the psychiatric hospital for forced hospitalization of the American due to mental disorders. As TASS wrote on the basis of court documents, a medical commission composed of doctors of the Aleksiejew psychiatric hospital in Moscow stated on March 15 that Tatra had “tension, impulsiveness (and) delusional ideas and attitudes”, including the sense of “persecution” and “lack of critical thinking about his condition” – informs the AFP.
