A firm declaration of Norway. “We will take part in maintaining a weapon suspension in Ukraine”
Stoere said that his country would participate at every stage in actions to lead to the suspension of Russian aggression to Ukraine. The Norwegian participation will concern the development of a suspension of a weapon, its compliance with Kiev and Moscow and work on achieving a lasting room – he added.
– In one way or another we will contribute to peace in Ukraine, although we have not made the decision whether we will send our soldiers yet – he said in an interview with “VG”.
Norway Prime Minister talks about the need to put pressure on Moscow
The Norwegian prime minister said that before deciding to send troops, he expected to jointly develop the rules on which the suspension of the weapon will be based. Issues such as: the nature of international forces (which would guard the suspension of weapons – PAP), the scope of their rights and responsibilities, as well as the method of monitoring compliance with the truce remains to be resolved.
Stoere pointed out that in view of the readiness of Ukraine to an unconditional suspension of weapons, Russia corresponds to putting further conditions. In his opinion, American negotiators should be constantly reminded of the need to put pressure on Moscow in activities for the end of fighting in Ukraine.
