Nicuşor Dan announced, at the end of the meeting of the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest (CGMB) in which the budget of the Capital was adopted, that it will sign the necessary opinion on Friday morning so that the City Hall of Sector 4, led by Daniel Băluță, to start the rehabilitation works on the Union.

Part of the discussions on negotiations on the budget referred to those many council decisions that you saw voted at the beginning of the meeting and my commitment was for the Union floor that the mayor (Daniel Băluță, the mayor of Sector 4, no) will have a statement,”

Also on Thursday night, Nicușor Dan appreciated that the Bucharest budget for 2025, approved by the General Council, is a “minimal” one, which provides “very little money” for investments.

Nicuşor Dan drew attention to the fact that, within two years, the capital's budget was diminished by 30%.

“From the income taxes of Bucharest, in 2023 we had 6 billion. In 2024 we had 5 billion. In 2025 we have 4 billion. There can be nothing happy when you lose 30% of the budget in two years, given that this is the main problem of Bucharest for years, more precise The City Hall also has the infrastructure and hospitals and theaters and public transport and thermal and many more, ”he said.

The total budget of the capital provided in the adopted project is 11 billion lei, of which 7.3 billion represents the local budget.

In addition to the proposed project, today's meeting were adopted and 4 amendments by which the budgets of several institutions were supplemented. For example, through the amendment proposed by Nicușor Dan, the budget of the Hospital Administration was supplemented with 10 million lei.

Another amendment, of the majority made up of PSD-PNL-Pusl, increases the funds of several cultural institutions, such as the Bulandra Theater, the Jewish Theater, ARCUB or CREART. In addition, more money was allocated for the Cathedral of the Salvation of the People.
