– Some say Starmer is more liberal and President Trump is more conservative. However, they both share a common view on cooperation. The president is very open to the opinions of Starmer, regardless of political ideology – said Steve Witkoff, a special envoy of Trump, in an exclusive interview for Politico during his trip to Great Britain.
Unexpectedly, Starmer's warm relations are a model for European leaders who desperately try to maintain Trump's favor, striving for closer cooperation in the matter of Ukraine and opposing the High Bigs, which became the hallmark of the American president's administration. Especially if the British leader obtains additional commercial concessions that will accompany ads regarding technological investments.

Witkoff, whose task is to help the president to provide peace agreements between Russia and Ukraine and in the Gaza Strip, participated in many meetings with both leaders. – I have never heard that [Keir Starmer] He instructed. I haven't heard him to be patronizing, “he said. “And the president, incidentally, returns this respect,” he added.
Another White House official said that at the beginning of the second term of office one of the biggest fears was how world leaders would get along with Trump. Starmer was so politically different [od wszystkich pozostałych]that the administration did not expect positive relationships.

“Let me think about it”
This is a clear difference compared to Trump's relations with countries on the other side of the Atlantic, when he first sat behind the desk in the oval office in the White House. His first term was characterized by a warrior attitude towards Europe and NATO. Trump often claimed that he and the United States are treated badly and unprinted by allies.
His splendor a historical visit to Great Britain shows how much the situation has changed. Starmer passed himself so that Trump felt that he was heard.
– I have heard many times how the president said to the prime minister: “Why don't you think about it this way?” I heard Starmer accepted it with satisfaction and replied: “Let me think about it,” said Witkoff. Trump's envoy explained that their relationship has “freedom”, which results from true friendship.
Two other White House officials also used the word “friendship” to describe these relationships. One of them told Politico that they have many differences in political views.
– Trump sometimes criticizes Starmer for energy issues, specifically for windmills. But they found a common language on nuclear energy. So they will cooperate on these issues. And nothing prevents them from continuing cooperation.
