The US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday, following the assassination of the right -wing political activist Charlie Kirk, new measures against left -hand groups, ranking the antifascist and anti -Antifa movement as a “terrorist organization”, reports Reuters.

Trump wrote on his social social network that he “designates” this “sick, dangerous movement, a radical left disaster”, as a terrorist organization.

“I will also strongly recommend that those who finance the antifa be investigated thoroughly, in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices,” Trump wrote.

It is not clear for now what legal importance has Trump's announcement. Antifa is a poorly organized ideological movement, without a management structure or a clear hierarchy, according to experts.

One day after the prosecutors in Utah revealed the official accusations against the one accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk, there was no evidence to connect Tyler Robinson, 22, a group. There are also questions about his exact reasons.

Trump and senior officials have repeatedly accused the left -handed groups of having created an atmosphere of hostility towards the Conservatives before Kirk's assassination.

The White House is preparing a presidential decree on political violence and instigating speech, a Trump administration official said on Wednesday.

The US Vice-President JD Vance, in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, repeatedly blamed what he called the left-wing political radicalization.

He said that the White House is making sustained efforts to ensure that the “left -wound financing networks” will be treated as terrorist organizations.

Critics say Trump uses Kirk's assassination as a pretext to take harsh measures against political opponents.

Trump initially launched the idea of such a designation for Antifa in 2020, in the context of violent protests at national level that followed the murder of George Floyd by the police in Minneapolis.

At that time, the legal experts stated that such a measure has no legal basis, would be difficult to implement and would raise problems related to freedom of expression, given that accession to an ideology is not generally considered an offense.
