US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that a third Venezuelan boat has been eliminated by the United States, AFP reports.

“In fact, I eliminated three ships, not two, but you saw two,” the US president said during a discussion with journalists, referring to the two American attacks already known against some boats used, according to Washington, for drug transport to the United States.

“He does not send drugs to the United States anymore,” said the White House leader, responding to a journalist who asked what message he wants to send to the Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro, according to News.ro.

The US government has not yet given more details about the exact place or date of this third attack.

An American first attack on a boat presented as belonging to traffickers, according to Donald Trump, eleven dead on September 2, in the Caribbean, where the United States carried out military forces on behalf of drug cartels.

Donald Trump then announced on Monday morning, on his social media platform, another attack “in the area of responsibility” of the United States Military Command for South America and the Caribbean. The blow killed three Venezuelan “narcoterusist”, said the US president, in a message accompanied by a video recording showing a ship turning into a fire ball.

The United States accuses Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro of leading a drug trafficking network, the Sun Cartel, whose existence is the subject of debate.

“There is a military aggression in progress, and Venezuela has the right, in accordance with international laws, to answer,” said Nicolas Maduro Monday. Venezuela will exercise “the legitimate right to defend itself,” he warned.

Maduro has qualified American accusations as “lies”.

Cocaine exported to the United States mainly transits the Pacific and ports in Ecuador, says Maduro.
