The general mayor of the Capital, Nicuşor Dan, an independent candidate for the peasant choices, again advertises the “avalanche” of false information in the online environment and announces the launch of a heading that says he will dismantle the untrue news about him.
“Given the lack of reaction of the responsible institutions in front of the wave of misinformation, we launch today a new section, dedicated to disassembly circulating about me. I do not feel the need to justify myself, but I consider it to not let the lies take the place of truth,” Nicuşor Dan announced on Sunday.
He says that he “grieved” the false information about his family most.
“Because on the online avalanche of fake news to me, not others, we start today with a section that will be called” Fake News “. There are many nonsense, but what grinds me the best are the family attacks. Christian-Orthodox, but I never parade with it. Because it is full of such fake news, please help me, write to us on WhatsApp, on Facebook, Tiktok all fake news that appear at me, so we can answer everything, “said Nicuşor Dan, quoted by News.ro.
He appealed to those who identify such information to write to his campaign team either on WhatsApp or on social networks, in order to respond to the untruths about him who roll in the virtual environment.
The announcement regarding the section in which he wants to dismantle the false news, but also his call one day after asking the institutions with attributions on how the election campaign is carried out to take measures on the false information circulating about it in the online environment. Nicuşor Dan accused of “bad faith and incompetence” of the authorities that should take measures in this regard, but do not.
One of the people who attacked is Elena Lasconi, whose party, USR, withdrew the support for the presidency candidacy, announcing their support for Nicuşor Dan.
Invoking an episode in which Nicuşor Dan and his wife reported that they did not get used to saying “I love you” in the family, Lasconi said: “How you can join a people, if you are not able to tell your daughter when asking you.”
