“One of the recent very clear requirements that the President of the European Commission previously spoke and which we discussed in the so-called border member states […]there was the so -called “wall against drones”. In these border countries, we need to create a “wall against drones” together with Ukraine and include Ukraine in this project, ”the European Commissioner emphasized.
According to him, the invasion of Russian drones into the airspace of Poland on the night of September 10 showed that the possibilities of European countries to protect against such attacks “need to be built very quickly.”
“That is why we will cooperate with Ukraine in the development of this very important project,” Kubilyus added.
The EU needs to learn from Ukraine not only how to produce specific types of drones, but also “create an entire ecosystem around to use these drones most effectively,” the European Commissioner believes.
