The cost of lemons in Russia will increase by 25% – to 230 rubles per kilogram. All because of a bad crop in Turkey and difficulties with transportation from Egypt. About this Writes Telegram channel Mash.

At the moment, the main suppliers of lemons to Russia are Türkiye and Egypt. Problems with Turkish deliveries arose due to bad weather, and therefore the price of wholesale was equal to the market-180 rubles. Subject to the margin, the cost flew sharply for 230 rubles per kilo.

Russia decided to establish in parallel supplies with Egypt, however, lemons of a completely different variety grow there – they are more acidic and often green, which makes them unsuitable for use. At the same time, the price of these citruses will also increase to 180-200 rubles per kilogram.
