Ukraine attacks a refinery of 800 km from the border. Fire confirmed by NASA


The refinery in Kirisza is the second largest oil processing plant in Russia, giving way only to the refinery in Omsk. This object is a key supplier of oil products for St. Petersburg and Leningrad, Nowogrodzki and Pskowski Districts. The plant processes over 20 million tons of oil annually, producing about 80 types of products, including gasoline, diesel, mazut and aviation fuel, which also go to the Russian army.

According to information provided by SBS, a vast fire broke out as a result of a drone attack in the refinery. SBS emphasized that the actions of the forces of unmanned systems are aimed at systematic limiting Russia's capabilities in the supply of army with fuel and conducting hostilities against Ukraine.
The reaction of the Russian authorities
Earlier, Aleksandr Drozdenko, Governor of the Leningrad District, informed that three Ukrainian drones were shot down around the city of Kiriszy, but their remains caused a fire in the company. According to him, the fire was quickly extinguished, there were no fatalities or injured people.
The day before, on Saturday, the Interfax-Ukraina agency reported that the Ukrainian military intelligence (Hur) confirmed the attack on the oil refinery in the city of Ufa, the capital of Bashkiria on the European and Asian part of Russia.
