With whom you will be an office colleague over 15 years and what you need to adapt. The Alpha generation catches us

The youngest demographic cohort, the Alpha generation (children born between 2010-2025), will enter the labor market in the next decade. They are the largest generation, over 2 billion, and have grown with “tap” technology. For employers and their colleagues tomorrow, the key question is: what will they look like?
- The conference “Alpha generation – the future in construction” is the occasion with which science, expert voice and experience meet to give parents and teachers a solid guide to understanding, supporting and orienting pre -adolescent and adolescent children.
- Come on September 27, 2025, in the heart of Bucharest, at Commons Unirii (Manuc Hanul area) to find guidance for a (pre) adolescence as easy as possible. And for you, and for your child! You will find tickets here, and if you come with a special package.
Natives Ai from school
The children of the Alpha generation come from a school where you have already exceeded the passenger use area. Japan has an official guide for the use of AI in primary and secondary education. In the United Arab Emirates you become a compulsory matter from kindergarten to the 12th grade in public schools starting with 2025/2026, in the curriculum there are modules on ethical use and the critical evaluation of the content generated by AI. In China, the Ministry of Education has published in 2025 guides for a “spiral” program of literacy throughout the basic education. In Beijing schools, children have at least 8 hours/year of AI, and in Hangzhou, the courses are already obligatory.
In Europe, projects such as France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg and Slovenia develop AI AI tools for Gymnasium evaluation. Also, in France a recapitulation application for high school, MIA has been developed.
Under these conditions, young people will reach the field of work already used to learn alone, without “stealing” from another man, but also with the desire to receive fast feedback and the idea that “learning” does not stop at graduation. Companies will have to have real upskilling budgets, and your AI mentor will not be regarded as an exceptional benefit, but as a natural norm.
Witnesses of home work, in pandemic
Most of the children of the Alpha generation attended, children being conferences dressed in pajamas and shirt and jacket, at the kitchen table. They lived Andrenalina Deadlines from the car on the way to shopping and had countless holidays in which the office laptop was part of the luggage. I no longer perceive the service as a place, but an activity. Estimates show that 64% of their jobs still do not exist, which is why there is a pressure to recruit people with transferable skills (adaptability, critical thinking) and to provide real flexibility.
When applying for jobs, those in the Alpha generation will rather request flexible packages such as hybrid/remote work, payment on achieved goals, not for hours worked. Also, non-linear career routes will count more than rigid title.
Will social inclusion and protect the planet
In a survey conducted in the US, children aged 12-15 have said that they emphasize the help given to others and that they value equal treatment between people. More than one third of them declare that they will “make a difference” for people or the environment. In short, I come with expectations about the ethics of the organization and its social impact. Once they are looking for a job, they will check more closely than previous generations to reputation of employers. For them, diversity and inclusion policies will have to be measurable, not decorative.
Balanced mixture of digital and physical environment
They are natives digital, but not exclusively online. The play culture of the Alpha generation rather favored the creation and collaboration, to the detriment of the competition. Born directly with the phone in their hand, these children sometimes give signs of digital fatigue, so they go more and more to offline activities. Schools and brands respond with outdoor experiences, and their desire to participate in all kinds of festivals can be a sign that they need physical interaction. Studies show that experience in person is appreciated, even if digital tools remain ubiquitous.
The jobs of the future will have to combine strong digital synergies with physical spaces where short but creative meetings can be organized.
Hold on to mental health
A study conducted on 12,000 children, for 3 years, found that the risk of depression at (pre) adolescents increases directly in proportion to the time spent on social media platforms. The good part is that they are aware of this and are more attentive to the mental health aspects. Therefore, they need strict rules regarding access to the online environment.
We will not have to be surprised that once employees will ask for work policies “Human-FIRST” with a predictable program, the right to disconnect, psychological support, short meetings with breaks.
They want to make money from adolescence
Analyzes about the Alpha generation indicate an increased appetite to earn early money, especially from secondary activities, other than the main job. Therefore, the purchasing power of the cohort is estimated in trillion of dollars in the coming years. In combination with technology -assisted education, this trend will produce employees who require transparency (bonuses, equity, clari KPI) and who look at the company and through the entrepreneur lens (ie they also feel part of the business).
How should companies turn
Whether they want or not, companies will have to rethink their strategies if they want to convince young people to engage. They have to find solutions to give them as much autonomy, not just the “2 office/3 days of home” variant. In addition, training budgets, especially in the area will need to be increased, and employees will need paid time to learn new things. The Alpha generation does not want to invade its personal space, so employers have to forget about emails or messages on WhatsApp at evening clock.
It is necessary for all these things to be done in an environment that supports social inclusion and that puts a price on environmental protection.
Sam Altman, CEO Open AI, says that education will change massively in 15–20 years as you become learning infrastructure. For the children of the Alpha generation, this means to reach the job with the wait that they can learn anything, anytime, with the help of a digital “assistant”. They will be employees who will adapt easily, eager for continuous learning, demand flexibility and meaning. In addition, they will evaluate employers after social impact and sail between digital and physical environment. Companies that prepare from now processes, policies and spaces for this profile will win the “Talent War” over the next 10-20 years.
