Moscow has expressed its willingness to carry consultations with the Polish side to clarify the situation.
“Despite the obvious unfounded character of the insinuations from Warsaw, for the purpose of complete clarification of the incident for all the parties interested in preventing an additional aggravation of the situation, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is prepared to organize consultations on this topic with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Poland. activity ”, transmitted the Russian diplomacy, led by Sergei Lavrov.
In a separate statement sent by AFP and quoted by Sky News, Russia's Embassy in Warsaw said the Polish authorities had not provided “Evidence” that the drones would come from Russia.
“The Polish part (…) has totally accused Russia of challenges”, commented the embassy.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that its drones had made a major attack on military facilities in western Ukraine, but said that “There were no plans” to hit targets on the territory of Poland. However, the institution has not officially denied nor confirmed the penetration of appliances into the Polish airspace.
On the night of Monday to Tuesday, a number of Russian drones entered Poland's airspace during an attack on Ukraine. As a result, the Polish authorities convened NATO allies for urgent discussions on Wednesday.
