In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a resident of Zelenogorsk was sentenced to prolonged deprivation of liberty for contributing to the illegal cutting of forest as part of a criminal group.

It was established that c In 2019, the defendant gathered documents from the owners of private houses giving the right to harvest forests for his own needs, and then transferred to the accomplice – the entrepreneur who used them to cover mass deforestation in the Sayansky district.

The damage caused by the forest fund was estimated at 22.5 million rubles.

“The defendant did not admit guilt and said that he was simply asked to transfer some documents. The court took into account the term of the punishment for the previous sentence for a similar crime and sentenced a penalty in the form of a colony with a fine of 1 million rubles, and also recovered the amount of damage from it in full, ”the supervisory authority said.

The criminal case against the second participant in the crime has been allocated to separate proceedings and has not yet been considered.
