A row at the State Tribunal deliberations. Who is Józef Zych, who was sitting next to Piotr Andrzejewski?
The three -person composition of the State Tribunal decided on Friday about the exclusion of 12 TS members from the case regarding the possible revocation of Małgorzata Manowska's immunity. Although on Wednesday there was a place for three judges in the room: Piotr Andrzejewski, Józef Zych and Piotr Sak, several excluded judges of TS appeared at the meeting. The atmosphere became more and more hot. – Please do not disturb, there is culture in this room, damn – shouted judge Piotr Andrzejewski. Judge Józef Zych, sitting next to him, tried to calm him down.
Józef Zych, a lawyer and politician, was elected a member of the State Tribunal in November 2015, from the recommendation of PSL. He sat in TS until the end of his term of office in 2019. He was again appointed to the Tribunal of State in November 2023.
Józef Zych was born in 1938. He was the Marshal of the Sejm of the Second term in 1995–1997. In the years 1989–2015 he was a member of the Sejm on behalf of the United People's Party and the Polish People's Party.

He stood to the United People's Party in 1975. In 2012 he became the honorary president of the Polish People's Party.
In 2015, he did not obtain a parliamentary re -election and in the same year he was elected a member of the State Tribunal. After 2015, he worked as an advisor at the Polish Insurance Association and also returned to scientific work.

The National Prosecutor's Office requested that the immunity to be repealed and the president of the Supreme Court Małgorzata Manowska, wanting to make her three penalty charges. The excluded judges came on Wednesday to a meeting regarding the revocation of immunity, and there was a sharp exchange in the room.

– I am not used to political circuses. This is a court, and the Supreme Court, please take into account. Enough of these political games – said during the meeting on Wednesday Vice -President of TS Judge Piotr Andrzejewski.
Piotr Andrzejewski announced a “indefinite break” and then left the room himself. After the break, judge Józef Zych announced that the meeting was postponed until September 22.
