Higher fees for vehicle technical tests. We know since when

New, higher fees for conducting technical tests of vehicles will come into force from September 19, 2025 – the Ministry of Infrastructure said on Thursday. The regulation has already been published in the Journal of Laws. In the case of passenger cars, the fee will increase by PLN 51 to PLN 149.

As the ministry pointed out, the change in the amount of fees was carried out after over 20 years and aims to make the costs of the vehicle control station to make the costs of operation, which until now have been one of the lowest in Europe. The costs of remuneration of diagnosticians, maintenance of real estate and media, the current operation of devices along with their legalization, inspections and repairs were taken into account.

“The most important goal that we set for ourselves when changing this regulation was to maintain a balance between the interests of entrepreneurs and the interests of Polish drivers. That is why an analysis of the costs of functioning of the vehicle control station was carried out, in particular the costs of remuneration of diagnosticians, real estate, media and the current operation of devices along with their legalization, inspections and repairs,” said Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Stanisław.
