Kierwiński: almost PLN 5 billion for local governments for the protection of the population

Almost PLN 5 billion this year will go to local governments this year to implement the most important purchases supporting the protection of the population – said Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński at a conference depicting “Security Guide” prepared by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Interior and Administration.

During the joint conference of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the RCB regarding the presentation of the “Security Guide” Minister of the Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński said that almost PLN 5 billion will go to local governments this year so that they could implement the most important purchases supporting the protection of population. – These are the joint findings of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, to 0.3 percent. Polish GDP was intended to defend every inhabitant of Poland – said Kierwiński.

He added that the funds would soon be transferred to local governments. The minister estimated that it would be a “gigantic injection of money in places where local governments have local associations such as TSO and PSP, where security must be assured.”

The government has developed a security guide to reach all Poles. It contains tips on how to behave in crisis situations, such as floods, or terrorist attacks. – Defense of the homeland is a task for all of us- emphasized on Thursday the deputy prime minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

During the Thursday conference on the security guide, Deputy Prime Minister, the head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that “he will soon go to every home, and today is available on websites.”

– It can be used, it is available for download in PDF, to be printed, to use in electronic version. A guide that contains tips on how to behave in various crisis situations. This is not only about the most difficult situation, the time in the war, but it is about hurricanes, natural disasters floods, fires, it is about moments of terrorist threats – said Władysław Kosiniak -Kamysz.

The deputy prime minister recalled the flood from September 2024, when many people were not prepared for this type of natural disaster.

– At that time, some people refused to evacuate, even when a helicopter with rescuers was approaching and said that you had to evacuate. Today we do it so that everyone is prepared, that everyone has knowledge and awareness. The textbook is very well written. A simple language, accessible, with beautiful graphics – said Kosiniak -Kamysz.

Presenting a group of experts involved in the creation of a guide, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that “Poland will be one of the few countries in Europe for now that is preparing so effectively and builds social awareness so strongly.” (PAP)
