The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine stated that it consults with the Polish authorities regarding the fee for Starlinka – on Monday the Ukrainian suspilne portal reported, writing about the vet of President Karol Nawrocki in the face of the amendment to the Act on the help of the help of Ukrainian citizens.

“In the Ministry of Digital Transformation, it was stated that consultations with the Polish side are currently underway regarding the fee for the use of Starlinks for Ukraine. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Polish Digitization Ministry Krzysztof Gawkowski estimated that the president knew that in the vetoed act on the support of Ukrainian citizens there were also issues regarding Starlinks. By his decision, the president de facto excluded the internet of Ukraine – he said.
President Nawrocki announced on Monday that he did not sign the amendment to the Act on the aid of Ukrainian citizens. His decision was motivated by, among others The fact that the 800 plus benefit should only be given to Ukrainians who work in Poland.
– Support for Ukraine in ensuring communication, which expires at the end of September, was to be extended. We wanted to continue financing satellite internet for Ukraine. Unfortunately, the President's fatal decision is very complicated and we will have to inform our partners that now such support will expire at the end of September – Gawkowski informed PAP.

He estimated that the president knew perfectly well that in the vetoed Act on the support of Ukrainian citizens there were also issues regarding Starlinks. He noted, he is surprised that the president made such a decision.
According to Gawkowski, the president undertook “risk at a very high level” and deciding to veto the law, “de facto turned off the Internet in Ukraine”, “turned it off from schools, turned off hospitals.”
– The president's decision directly means that this internet, but also support for tax administration in Ukraine will not be. (…) Today the president must take responsibility for it and say whether this is called a real partnership with Ukraine, which is at the end of peace negotiations and which today gets such a knife in the back – said Gawkowski.
Bogucki: The president's veto does not turn off Starlinks Ukraine
The president's veto, contrary to what the minister of digitization said, Krzysztof Gawkowski does not turn off Starlinks Ukraine – declared on Monday the head of the Chancellery of President Zbigniew Bogucki. According to him, the parliament must “efficiently overwhelm” a project submitted by Nawrocki.
Referring to the words of Gawkowski, Bogucki emphasized that Nawrocki's veto does not turn off the Internet of Starlink Ukraine. “The costs of this communication are financed based on the provisions of the current Act, and the project submitted to the Sejm by the President of the Republic of Poland maintains this state of affairs. It is enough in September this presidential initiative to efficiently apologize in the Polish parliament,” wrote the head of the President's office on Platform X.
“Mr. Vice -President – you must stop blindly taking blows towards the President of the Republic of Poland in the name of political struggle. You scare people who are fighting for their independence and at the same time helps Russia. If your entry did not start the Machina of the Russian lie of lying lying propaganda and disinformation in this area,” he assessed.
