The Minister of Health Alexandru Rogobete has announced, in a Facebook post, that hospitals will have the possibility to organize mobile medical caravans to provide medical services to isolated communities, services that will be settled through the National Health Insurance House (CNAS).
“In Romania, there are still too many places where people do not have easy access to medical services. Communities in isolated or poorly served areas are often forced to wait too long until they reach a doctor, and this means lack of diagnosis and delayed treatments,” wrote Alexandru Rogobete.
He mentioned that there are doctors who went to isolated communities in such caravans, which has proven a model of good practice, through which many people with difficult access to health services were helped.
“This is why, together with the team of the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance House, we decided to formalize these actions. From now on, hospitals will be able to organize mobile medical caravans, in partnership with local associations and organizations, and the services provided will be settled by CNAS, in the ambulatory regime,” the Minister announced.
Literally overnight, the Ministry of Health withdrew a proposal that sparked anger and talked about the moment when the drugs were not settled
Thus, specialist doctors will be able to provide mobile healthcare based on contracts concluded between hospitals and health insurance houses through which day hospitalization, consultations, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as paraclinical investigations from the package regulated by the framework contract will be settled.
“This weekend, such an action takes place at the Oașa Monastery, where a team of doctors from Timisoara consults the people in the area. I thank Professor Dorel Săndesc, who for over 5 years organizes and coordinates these medical caravans, for the inspiration and example they offer. People, ”concluded Rogobete.
