As she added, the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, vice president of JD Vance and a special envoy of President Steve Witkoff will coordinate activities with Ukraine and Russia, that Putin and Zełanski's meeting would take place as soon as possible.

Leavitt emphasized that after a bilateral meeting there could be a three -sided peak with the participation of President Trump.

She noted that various possible locations of the meeting of the President of Ukraine with the leader of Russia are discussed. She added that the US administration is already working on this meeting.

When asked if Putin proposed Moscow as a meeting place with Zelanski, she refused to answer. She also did not confirm the reports that Budapest is being considered as one of the places of the three -sided meeting. “We'll give details when it is possible,” she announced.

Politico: White House sees Budapest as a place of peace talks Trump-Zełenski-Putin

The White House sees Budapest as a place of three -sided peace conversations with the participation of US President Donald Trump, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelanski and Russian leader Vladimir Putin – Politico said on Tuesday, citing two sources.

According to the interlocutors of the American portal, Budapest is the “first choice” of American special services. At the same time – as noted – many locations are often considered in such situations, which is why it may change.

During the Monday meeting in Washington, Trump, Zelnski and the accompanying European leaders determined that the next stage in peaceful negotiations should be a meeting of Zelanski -Putin, and then – three -way talks, with the participation of an American leader.

According to the White House, Putin also agreed to meet Zelanski.

According to earlier reports, he told Trump that he wanted it to take place in Moscow. Zelanski rejected this proposal.

Geneva, forced by the President of France Emmanuel Macron, was also among other possible locations, due to the fact that in international relations this country is guided by the principle of neutrality.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is one of Trump's closer allies in Europe and probably the closest partner of Russia among EU and NATO countries.

Budapest has repeatedly announced that he did not arrest the leaders prosecuted by the International Criminal Court, such as the Russian President if they arrive at their territory.

White House: American soldiers will not be in Ukraine

The spokeswoman stated at a press conference that American soldiers would not be stationed in Ukraine as part of a security guarantee. She noted that the US could help in coordination activities; Other funds are also possible under the security guarantee.

When asked if Russia would agree to the presence of NATO forces in Ukraine, she noticed that the US President is conducting talks on this subject with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine.

Leavitt added that a security guarantee framework will be developed, which will be accepted by the parties and which will help in guaranteeing a long -lasting room.

White House: We see progress from both sides – Russia and Ukraine

She also emphasized that progress on both sides, Russia and Ukraine was observed when it comes to a peaceful process. She estimated that both parties would be “a little dissatisfied” if there was a good peace agreement. – President Trump always says that in order to reach a good agreement, both sides will have to get out of it a bit dissatisfied – she said.

Media: Rubio at the head of the Security Guarantee Commission for Ukraine

A joint American-European-Ukrainian commission was created, which is to formulate a proposal regarding security guarantee for Ukraine-the American website Axios said on Tuesday. According to sources, it is headed by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Axios announced, citing sources, that the Commission includes national security advisers from Ukraine and European countries, which also participate in these conversations.

– In the coming days, everyone will work from dawn to dusk on security guarantees. Perhaps by the end of the week you will be able to create some bright architecture – said the Ukrainian official.

Security guarantees will probably include American air capabilities – they have transferred two sources.

In Tuesday's conversation with Fox News, US President Donald Trump said that American soldiers would not be stationed in Ukraine. He added, however, that the US can get involved in security guarantees in a different way, e.g. providing support in airspace for European forces.

According to Axios, Russian President Vladimir Putin during the summit in Alaska on Friday said that he was open to talks about security guarantees; China mentioned among potential guarantors.

The European official told Axios that Trump agreed with European leaders to cooperate with security guarantee modeled on Article 5. NATO, but when it comes to the role of the US, “was not precise.”
