President Nicușor Dan, who participated on Sunday afternoon, through video conference, at the “Coalition of the Willing) meeting of countries supporting Ukraine, sent in a message posted on social networks that the discussions aimed at coordinating the efforts of the European partners of Kiev, before the future negotiations.
The last meeting of the “Coalition of will”, before meeting with Trump / Macron: “We must be feared and strong”
Nicușor Dan: “We must continue the pressure on Russia until the peace is done”
“Today, in a new video conferencing of the will coalition, we discussed how we can coordinate our efforts in support of Ukraine, before future negotiations. We all agreed that the unity and transatlantic coordination in support of Ukraine remain our source of strength in the face of Russia's continuous aggressive behavior,” Nicușor said.
“Stopping the attacks on civilians and civil infrastructure is the first step that Russia has to take to show that it is truly engaged in a real process of peace. How we could trust Russia, as long as they continue to kill innocent people? We must continue to exert pressure on Russia, including through new sanctions, until the state will be done.
He says that “Ukraine needs our support” and that “no decision on Ukraine can be taken without Ukraine. This is the legitimate right of Ukraine. Consolidating Ukraine means strengthening the security of Europe and our region.”
Nicușor Dan: “As Ukraine's neighbors, it would be a direct investment in our own security”
Thus, the President of Romania announces that “within the coalition, we have expressed our willingness to contribute, together with the United States and our European partners, to offering solid security-essential guarantees in this process of peace.”
“History has shown us that Russia does not respect its own commitments. As Ukraine's neighbors, our contribution to these security guarantees means a direct investment in our own security,” says Nicușor Dan.
