Record trade in Germany with Poland in the first half of 2025

The volume of trade between Germany and Poland increased in the first six months of 2025 by 4.6 billion euros, reaching a record EUR 90 billion. It's 5.4 percent more than in the same period last year – the Eastern Commission of the German economy said.

In the first half of the year, German exports to Poland increased by over EUR 2.6 billion (plus 5.7 percent), and Polish exports to Germany by EUR 2 billion (plus 5.2 percent).

The commission data shows that German exports to Poland (EUR 49.4 billion in the first half of 2025) surpassed this to China (EUR 41.4 billion).

Poland is currently the fifth most important trading partner of Germany, placing just behind France. The United States, China and the Netherlands also have a greater commercial trade from Germany.

The greatest burst met economic relations between Germany and Russia. In accordance with the commission, commercial turnover in the first half of the year was 13 percent. lower than during this period in 2024. Serbia, Croatia and Lithuania are currently more important trading partners for Germany from Russia.
