Teodora Meluță (26 years old), who became recently Nicoara after marriage, signed a new commitment, valid for the next season, with Beșiktaș. The athlete beat the palm with the team from Turkey, shortly after completing her collaboration with Fatih Vatan Spor, club in Istanbul.

The announcement of the collaboration between the Romanian and the group from Turkey was made on social networks. Also, on the Instagram page of the club were posted images with a melță training on the beach, along with its new colleagues.

The story of Meluță in performance football started in Olimpia Cluj, where she evolved for the first time in a professional framework, between 2015 and 2021.

Her road continued in Switzerland, in Lugano, but the period there was marked by a serious injury to the tibia and a peroneum, which put her career in difficulty. But Theodora did not get beaten. Returning to Romania, he evolved for Poli Timișoara and, in 2024, signed with Fatih Vatan Spor.

Now, in Beșiktaș, he proudly wears the number five shirt, the same number he has in the national team. He came to a team with tradition, during which the emblematic players of Romanian football, such as Daniel Pancu, Alexandru Maxim or Adrian Ilie evolved.

“Football in Turkey is far above the level in Romania. Individual is much stronger, because there are several international players. They can be seven or eight international players, there are much less. It is clearly weaker than those in Italy, Spain.

I liked Switzerland more because the teams were much better organized. Turkey was very good, because there were many international players and a lot of money. Even in girls there are very large amounts: salaries, conditions. From this point of view it was very good in Turkey.

I was expecting something else, but people, when they heard women's football, didn't seem unusual, were familiar with this. However, for them religion is an impediment and I think that for this reason they stagnate! ”said Teodora Nicoara a few months ago, according to GSP.

Player remains a reference name in Romanian football, thanks to an unmatched record so far: he was the youngest debutant, at just 15 years old.
