The US PAM Bondi General Prosecutor has announced that the United States offers a prize of $ 50 million for information that may lead to the arrest of the leader of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro.

Bondi called the leader of Venezuela “one of the largest drug smugglers in the world, which poses a threat to US national security”.
During the first presidential term of Donald Trump, his administration accused Maduro of drug terrorism in 2020 and announced 15 million, followed by USD 25 million for information about him.
As the Washington Post emphasized on Friday, it is unlikely that the US can arrest Maduro when he remains on the territory of Venezuela. The award, however, limits his travel capabilities and increases the pressure on it.
The US does not recognize Maduro as the legitimate president of Venezuela. On Thursday, the Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Maduro “is the head of the brutal cartel de los Soles, a drug terrorist organization that took over Venezuela.” He added that Maduro must be held responsible.

The leader of Venezuela denies the accusations of connecting to drug smuggling.
