The second Russian, who was aboard the IL-76 shot down by Sudanese rebels, was an aircraft engineer from Bashkiria-his passport was found at the crash site in North Darfur.
As Mash was known, this is a native of the city of Tuymazy, 33-year-old Anton S., together with Viktor Granov, flew to repair the UAE aircraft with military help, which in early October was unsuccessful, damaged the chassis and engines.
On board the cargo aircraft on which the Russian citizens were located, there were spare parts and tools for repair work. The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sudan began a verification of information about the crash.
