President Nicușor Dan sent on Sunday, at the end of the official visit he had in Austria, that Romania enters, together with the “third big investor” on the Romanian market, in a new stage of consolidating the bilateral partnership.

“Along with Austria, the third great investor in Romania, we enter a new stage of consolidation of the partnership that we have: dialogue, cooperation, constructive discussions about the economic future and not only,” Nicușor Dan wrote in a Facebook post.

“The cultural, political and especially economic elite of Austria and Romania was the guest of honor. This means relaunching our political, economic and diplomatic relations,” said Nicușor Dan. He mentioned that the meetings had focused on developing trade and the Danube strategy.

“This is our external policy: the extension of the collaboration and supporting the integration of the Republic of Moldova and the countries from the Western Balkans into the European Union,” said the head of state.

Nicușor Dan added that he also discussed the rights of Romanians who work in Austria, receiving, according to their own statement, “all guarantees” that they will be respected.

Nicușor Dan's visit to Salzburg started on Friday, when he participated in the industrial summite and met with the president of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen. On Saturday, the leader from Cotroceni was received by the Chancellor of Austria, Christian Stocker.
