39 million online accommodation reservations in 2024. Record growth


The CSO report shows that from the total number of reservations 23.7 million concerned domestic tourists, and 15.3 million – foreign. In both cases, an increase was recorded: the number of nights reserved by Poles increased by 4.5 million (i.e. by 23.5 percent), and by foreigners – by 1.7 million (i.e. by 12.7 percent).
9.3 million were reserved in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, which means an increase of 20.8 percent. compared to the previous year. The next places were taken by the following voivodships: Pomeranian (6.7 million nights, an increase of 18.1 percent) and Masovian (5.3 million, increase by 17.8 percent). Reservations from these three regions constituted a total of over half (54.7 percent) of all made by the platform.
The smallest interest was recorded in the Opolskie Voivodeship – 144.5 thousand. reservation, although there was a significant increase there – by 39.7 percent. year on year.
Among foreign tourists, Germans dominated, who were responsible for 23.4 percent. all online reservations. The next places were taken by tourists from Ukraine (11.2 percent), the Czech Republic (6.8 percent), the USA (4 percent) and Great Britain (3.6 percent).
The CSO noted that the data come from the four largest global reservation platforms: Airbnb, Booking, Expedia and TripAdvisor, with whom the European Commission signed an appropriate cooperation agreement.
