“It was a man very close to Zelenski.” The accusations of a deputy from the Ukrainian opposition after the president promoted a law that removed thousands of people in the street

“An information I have from my sources shows that, about a month ago, the anti -corruption organs issued an official suspicion against the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Cernîșov, a man very close to Zelenski,” says Ukrainian deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko, for Hotnews. The discussion took place in the context of protests that broke out in Ukraine after the president promulgated a law that subordinates to the Attorney General Anti -Corruption Agencies. Faced with international critics, Zelenski gave back and promised a new anti -corruption reform.
In several cities of Ukraine there were protests last night, after the supreme Rada from Kiev approved the legislative changes by which the Attorney General obtains access to all the files of the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). He will also be able to submit the files of other prosecutors, personally sign accusations against high officials and give mandatory indications for NABU.
Initially, the National Anticorruption Office of Ukraine has functioned as an independent law enforcement structure, created to investigate corruption among high -ranking officials, judges and top managers in state -owned enterprises.
Confronted with international criticisms, because anti -corruption fight is essential for Ukraine's integration into the EU, Zelenski seems to have turned back. However, the institutions concerned, the anti -corruption agencies, were not satisfied and demanded the restoration of independence.
“Clear and unequivocal measures are required at the law, to restore the guarantees canceled by the Parliament,” said the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine and the specialized anti-corruption prosecutor in a common statement published on Telegram, writes Reuters.
“What does the independence of these bodies have to do with the presence of Russian agents?”

Hotnews asked for an independent Ukrainian deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko. He criticized the legislative changes, but also the way they were adopted.
“It is an anti-reform. Its essence is very simple: yesterday (July 22-no) was voted in a lightning regime, immediately signed by President Zelenski, by which the anti-corruption bodies-the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine (Nabu) and the specialized prosecutor's prosecutor (SAP)-loses its independence.”
Oleksiy Honcharenko says that, from now on, the Attorney General of Ukraine, who is personally named by the president, will have total control over all the actions of these institutions.
“He will know everything the anti -corruption institutions do, all their plans, and will be able to stop or cancel their activity.
So far, this was impossible. The management of these institutions was selected by an independent commission, through the competition. And this was precisely the essence: these institutions were created to control the supreme power. And to control it, you have to be independent of it. It is impossible to do this if you are addicted. Yesterday, this independence was destroyed. Therefore, one cannot speak of a reform – it is an antireform, and a very dangerous one, ”says the deputy.
Oleksiy Honcharenko does not believe in the president's arguments either.
“Zelenski said that the purpose is to clean the institutions of Russian agents. But what does this have to do with the independence of these institutions? Is it possible to have Russian agents infiltrated in the anti -corruption structures? Maybe. But for their identification and neutralization there is the security service of Ukraine, SBU.
So what is the independence of these organs with the presence of Russian agents? This argument is, honestly, very strange, ”says the Ukrainian parliamentarian.
“I consider it – and this is the information I have from my sources – that about a month ago, the anti -corruption organs issued an official suspicion against the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Cernîșov, a man very close to Zelenski. And, as far as I know, other suspicions were followed in the files that targeted as close to the president.
HotNews also requested opinions from some representatives of the parliamentary majority of the supreme Rada, represented by the party founded by Volodimir Zelenski, as well as from the Kiev Presidential Administration, but until the article I received an answer.
What the Ukrainians write on social networks: “People are exhausted by war and chaos”

Hotnews has tried to find out what is the mood among Ukrainians about the changes announced by Zelenski. I discovered on the Telegram Unian group, with 775 thousand users, more people's comments. Some support the protests, others do not believe in sincerity to those who went out on the streets.
“Why is this law?
“Even Financial Times and Le Monde I call this “a step towards authoritarianism.” If the US and the EU believe that Ukraine sabotages anti -corruption reforms, this could lead to freezing, ”Ecaterina is afraid.
“And what did Nabu (no – Anti -Corruption Bureau) do, who they put in prison, what is the purpose of their work? All kinds of officials from SBU and prosecutors in Dubai are doing very well, Zelenski, during the war, chose with luxury properties – what is their role, does anyone know?”
“A paid thing, probably. Two corrupt structures do not want to be controlled and have bribed people to make figuration. Nabu and SAP are corrupt structures – there is a lot of evidence,” wrote Felix.
How Zelenski motivates
In a video recording, posted at 02.36 night on his telegram channel, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenski commented on the situation related to Nabu, declaring that the anti-corruption system will continue to work, but without Russian influence.
The Kiev leader mentioned that he had a meeting with the Nabu (National Anticorruption), SAP (specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office), GPU (Ukraine General Prosecutor's Office) and SBU (Ukraine's Security Service), to discuss the challenges of recent days. According to him, it is necessary to clean the system of Russian influence and ensure a more fair justice.
“Of course, Nabu and SAP will continue their activity. It is important that the Attorney General is determined to provide, in Ukraine, the irreversibility of the punishment for those who violate the law,” said the Ukrainian president.
Also, Zelenski stressed that older files, including those on high corruption and data leaks, must be investigated, and former officials from the country must be held accountable.
