Ramona Verman (21 years old) became U23 European champion at the length of the length, after he succeeded the best career performance. The athlete from CSM Bacău brought to the Romanian delegation the second gold medal from this competition.
On Sunday, July 20, in Bergen, Norway, Ramona Verman became the European champion U23 at the length jumping, achieving a 6.60 meter jump, which represents a personal record.

In qualifications, the 21 -year -old athlete jumped 6.43 meters and obtained access in the final, where he benefited from 5 other jumps. 6.38, 6.56, 6.58, 6.34 and finally 6.60personal record, and the jump that brought the gold medal to U23.
Verman was followed by Samira ATTERMEYER (Germany) and Ida Andrea Bregan (Norway), which jumped 6.58 meters. Representatives of Germany, Poland, Estonia, Bulgaria, Spain, Norway, Greece and Ukraine were ranked on the following positions.

Ramona Verman is part of the CSM Bacău club and is trained by Aura Balaban. In addition to the medal conquered by it, Romania has obtained a gold through Alexia Ioana Dospin, who became a European champion in Triplusalt (14.05 meters).
On Sunday, at the Fana Stadium in Bergen, Norway, Răzvan Nicoara also competed, which ranked 5th in the final at Triplusalt, with 16.17 meters.
Romania finished the Bergen competition in the 13th place in the medals ranking. The most titled countries were: Germany, 26 medals (5 gold, 9 silver, 12 bronze), UK and Northern Ireland, 11 medals (4 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze) and Spain, 11 medals (4 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze).
According to News.ro, the tricolors had a delegation of 22 athletes (10 boys and 12 girls).
