In Russia, fines for imposing additional paid goods, services and work can increase. The chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin spoke about such an initiative.
The politician wrote in his telegram channel that sometimes people make unprofitable purchases after manipulating sellers, as well as threats about negative consequences.
“As a result, the cost of imposed goods, works and services can reach up to 50% of the main costs. Responsibility should be established for such unlawful actions, ”wrote Vyacheslav Volodin.
He recalled that in April a federal law was already adopted that protects citizens from excessive expenses. It prohibits people with additional paid goods, services and work, as well as create conditions involving the initial consent to their acquisition. But the established fines are very small.
“For such unlawful actions, responsibility should be established. This week, a bill was adopted in the first reading, increasing fines in relation to those who impose additional paid goods, services and work for people: for officials – up to 300 thousand rubles (now up to 4 thousand rubles); For legal entities – up to one million rubles (now – up to 40 thousand rubles), ”the politician explained.
