Fire in a residential building. The government analyzes the causes


The commander of the capital police, inspector Dariusz Walichnowski, announced that at this stage of the investigation, various possible causes of the fire are taken into account, but no of them was indicated as the most likely. He emphasized that the hearing of witnesses will only start, and the inspection of the incident place would be possible after the construction inspectors entering the building supervision inspectors. He noted that these activities can take up to several days, because the place of fire requires special accuracy and there is no place for mistakes.
The police and prosecutor's office appeal to everyone who may have information about the beginning of the fire, to report to the services. Commander Walichnowski explained that witnesses are sought, who can indicate the place where the fire appeared, and these activities are carried out together with the Warsaw-Praga prosecutor's office as part of the preparatory proceedings.
Technical and financial support for victims in a fire in Ząbki
The Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk reported that the Chief Inspector of Building Supervision was obliged to immediately support the Poviat Building Supervision in Ząbki. The ministry's announcement emphasized that the actions are aimed at explaining the causes of the fire, assessing the technical condition of the building and to estimate the scope of necessary work and the possibility of removing damage. The first reports on this matter are to be sent to the ministry around noon.
The Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański was asked about the issue of financial assistance for people injured in the fire. The minister assured that the government is in contact with the Ministry of Interior and Administration and relevant services, and financial support will be granted as part of the available budgetary funds. He added that in Poland there are always funds to help people affected by a tragedy.
Speculation about diversion and reaction of politicians
There were suggestions in public space that a fire in Ząbki could have been the result of intentional action. Krzysztof Bosak from the Confederation in an interview with RMF FM stated that such events arouse suspicions of a possible subversive action in Poland. He reminded that as early as 2022 and 2023 the confederation demanded that the influx of Russian citizens to the Polish labor market in a simplified mode demanded.
Bosak also referred to earlier incidents, such as setting the hall to Marywilska in Warsaw, indicating that information about these events came from Lithuanian services. He emphasized that he has no specific evidence and his statements are based only on suspicions, and this issue may remain unclear for a long time.
The politician also appealed to the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak for a personal appearance at the scene of the incident in Ząbki, if it is confirmed that there was arson. At the same time, he expressed the opinion that the minister should be dismissed.
Fire in Ząbki. The state of investigation and actions of the services
A spokesman for the Minister of the Interior, Jacek Dobrzyński, after a meeting at the Prime Minister's office, emphasized that it was too early to clearly determine whether the fire was the result of arson. In turn, spokesman for government Adam Szłapka announced support for the victims and a visit of ministers in Ząbki.
Currently, the services focus on securing the place of the incident, the audit hearing and detailed examination of the fire. Further activities will depend on the results of the construction supervision inspectors and investigative findings.
